As a Sleep Consultant, I’m here to help you and your baby get back to getting a good night’s sleep.
Everything feels extra hard after stepping into the identity of ‘mom.’ It wasn’t an identity you could prepare for,from the post-birth hormones crashing down on you, to having to nourish and care for your newborn, to having to figure out who the hell you even are anymore in this new season of life… It's a lot.
Everyone keeps telling you to cherish the time you have with your little kids while they’re young, and reminding you that “the days are long, but the years are short” — but all you can think about is how to stop yawning in the Starbucks drive-through.
I won’t tell you all that, though. I know what it’s like to feel like you could just fall asleep standing up half the time. And that’s exactly why, as a Sleep Specialist, I’m focused on how to actually help you “cherish” motherhood — starting with a good night’s sleep.
Don’t get me wrong, my children mean the world to me, but… that sh*t was HARD.
And the most common piece of advice I heard to “help” me get through it? “Oh, just let your baby cry it out through the night!”
…aaaaand that sounded worse than another sleepless night.
I wanted advice that felt GOOD. - I wanted an approach that still respected my children’s needs.
& THAT’S HOW THE SLEEP COLLECTIVE CAME ABOUT.
I believe sleep can be found in gentle and nurturing methods. So, I decided to create my own, taking my personal experience and turning it into a way to support thousands of parents online, going through the same situation as me:
Wanting to get my kids to bed, but not wanting to leave them wailing alone in their crib all night.
Every baby is different, every family is different, and every lifestyle is different — which is why my holistic approach to solving sleepless nights respects each child’s unique needs.
In the last few years of working as a Sleep Specialist, I’ve noticed that all my clients really want is the best care for their baby (without the tears and or the stress), so I focus on providing practical tools, support, and encouragement you need to get your baby back to bed.
